Also known as: Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone

A class of ingredients (dimethicone, cyclomethicone, etc.) that give slip, blur, and water resistance. Not inherently bad — many dermatologists recommend them — but layering silicone on silicone is a common cause of pilling and breakouts.
