Sensitive Skin FAQ
Can I use retinol on sensitive skin?
Only if you build tolerance slowly. Start with bakuchiol or prescription tretinoin under dermatologist guidance. Most sensitive-skin routines skip retinoids entirely.
What ingredients should I avoid?
Fragrance, essential oils, high-concentration witch hazel, alcohol-denat. in the first five ingredients, and physical scrubs with jagged shells.
Is double cleansing safe for sensitive skin?
Only if your first cleanser is an oil or balm and your second is low-pH and fragrance-free. If you feel tightness after, you are over-cleansing.
How do I patch test?
Apply a small amount behind the ear or on the inner arm for three consecutive nights. If no redness, itching, or burning occurs, use it on the face for one week before adding the next product.
