Also known as: Essence, Hydrating Toner, Acid Toner

A liquid applied after cleansing to restore pH, add hydration, or deliver light actives. Modern toners are mostly hydrating or exfoliating; old-fashioned astringent toners with high alcohol are largely obsolete.
